FREE World-Famous National Museum of the US Air Force
DON’T MISS THIS!! Dayton, the Birthplace of Aviation and so much more, is home to the FREE National Museum of the US Air Force, the world’s largest and oldest military aviation museum. WOW! The best just keeps getting better! On June 8, 2016, a new fourth 224,000 sq. ft. hangar will open at the museum featuring all of the presidential aircraft, the global research gallery and more. Your group won’t want to miss this! If you’ve already been to the museum come back to see this new building which increased the museum’s size by 25%. If you’ve never been the museum, it should be on your bucket list, schedule a visit now!
The museum features 19 acres of indoor space with more than 360 aerospace vehicles and artifacts. Exhibits are displayed in chronological order with extensive coverage of each of the U.S. military campaigns. Over 1.3 million people visit the museum every year from literally all over the world. And guess what? The museum and parking are FREE! Open 7 days a week from 9am-4pm. The museum also features a cafeteria, extensive gift shop, giant 3D theater featuring films on the hour, and flight simulator rides.

Dayton, home to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, is a military city where servicemen and women are recognized with an elevated level of honor and respect. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is Dayton’s largest employer and the state’s largest single-site employer with approximately 27,000 personnel on Base. In addition, to the National Museum of the US Air Force Dayton also features separate Korean War Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorials.
